The Diamour Privacy Promise

At Diamour, we are building a home for your heart, not a marketplace for your data. We know that finding a partner involves sharing vulnerable pieces of yourself—from your photos to your genotype. This policy outlines exactly how we treat that information with the respect it deserves.

1. What We Collect (And Why)

We only ask for what we need to help you find "The One."

  • The Basics: Your name, email, phone number, and verification selfies. This keeps bots out and ensures everyone is real.
  • The Deep Stuff (Cultural & Health): To make our specialized matching work, we collect sensitive details like your Genotype (AA, AS, etc.), Tribe, State of Origin, and Religion.
    • Our Promise: We never assume these details. You provide them voluntarily so we can find you a compatible match.
  • Your Vibe: The photos, voice notes, and icebreakers you upload to show off your personality.
  • Device Smarts: Technical logs (IP address, device ID) that help us stop scammers before they start.

2. How We Use Your Info

We don't sell your data. We use it to:

  • Power the Matchmaker: If you are Genotype AS, our algorithm works hard to deprioritize risky matches (like other AS users) if that’s your preference.
  • Connect the Diaspora: We use your location to find matches in your city (e.g., London) or back home (e.g., Lagos), depending on your settings.
  • Keep It Safe: We use AI and manual review to scan for underage users, catfishing, and harmful language in chats.

3. Who Sees Your Info?

  • Other Users: Your profile (photos, bio, tribe, genotype) is public to the Diamour community. That’s how you get matches!
  • Our Partners: Trusted tech partners who help us run the app (like Supabase for hosting and Google/Apple for processing your payments). They are strictly bound to keep your data secure.
  • The Law: If we receive a valid court order, we comply to keep our community safe.

4. You Are In Control

This is your data. You have the right to:

  • Edit: Changed your mind about showing your tribe? Update it in settings.
  • Delete: Hit "Delete Account" in settings, and we will wipe your personal data from our active systems within 30 days.
  • Download: Ask us for a copy of what we know about you by emailing support@diamour.com.

5. Children

Diamour is 18+ only. We have zero tolerance for minors on the platform. If we find an account belonging to a minor, we delete it instantly.
